Terms of Service

Effective October 31, 2026

The short version: Contacto+ is free to use, and Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play. Your contacts stay yours and on your device. Features like merging and temporary contacts change your phone's contacts permanently, so please keep a backup.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Contacto+ mobile app (“the app”, “Contacto+”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The app

Contacto+ helps you view, organize, edit, share and back up the contacts stored on your phone. It works with your phone's own contacts, so changes you make in Contacto+ appear in your phone's Contacts and in other apps that use them.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

3. Free plan and Contacto+ Pro

Free plan. The core app is free. The free plan includes up to 3 categories and exporting up to 100 contacts at a time. Merging duplicates requires Pro.
Pro is a one-time purchase. Contacto+ Pro unlocks unlimited categories, unlimited export and duplicate merging. It is a single payment, not a subscription, and does not renew.
Payment. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and are charged to your store account. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We can't issue refunds directly.
Restoring. You can restore Pro for free on another device signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account using “Restore Purchases” in the app.
Changes to plans. We may add, change or improve features over time. If we change what's included in the free plan, purchases you've already made will keep unlocking the Pro features they unlocked at the time.

4. Your contacts and your responsibility

Your contacts and everything you add in the app belong to you. Because they stay on your device, we can't recover them for you. Please keep in mind:

Some actions are permanent. Merging duplicates, deleting contacts, importing files and temporary contacts reaching their expiry all change your phone's contacts, and these changes may not be reversible.
Keep a backup. We recommend exporting a backup (for example a JSON or vCard file) and keeping your phone's contacts backed up with iCloud or your Google account before making large changes.
Respect other people's information. Contacts contain other people's personal information. Only import, store and share contact details you have the right to, and follow the privacy laws that apply to you.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to:

break any law or anyone else's rights, including privacy and data-protection rights;
send spam or unsolicited messages to people in your contacts;
interfere with the app, its purchases or its services, or try to get around Pro limits.

6. Third-party apps and services

The app lets you call, message and share with other apps and services, such as WhatsApp, email, Google Drive and the share sheet, and uses service providers described in our Privacy Policy. Those apps and services are run by third parties under their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.

7. Feedback

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve Contacto+ without any obligation to you.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, design and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't give you any rights to them other than the license in section 2.

9. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that duplicate detection, imports or exports will always be complete or accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, contacts, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Contacto+ Pro, if anything. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously break these Terms. Sections 4 and 8–12 continue to apply after that.

12. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also follow Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the App Store's usage rules. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date above. If you keep using the app after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
