Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Contacto+ mobile app for iPhone and Android (“the app”, “Contacto+”, “we”, “us”) handles information. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
1. Information that stays on your device
Contacto+ works directly with the contacts stored on your phone. Everything the app reads, creates or changes is kept only on your device:
- Your phone's contacts — names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, birthdays, photos and other details. The app reads them to show them to you, and edits, merges or deletes them only when you ask it to.
- What you add in Contacto+ — categories, favorites, private notes, temporary-contact expiry times, birthday reminder settings and your own “My Card” details. These are saved in the app's private storage on your phone.
- Widgets (iPhone) — to show favorites, birthdays or your QR card on your home screen, the app shares the needed details with its own widget on the same device.
- Birthday reminders are scheduled as local notifications by your phone. They are not sent through any server.
We have no servers that store this information and no way to access it. When you delete the app, the data Contacto+ added (categories, favorites, notes and settings) is deleted with it. Your phone's own contacts remain in your phone's Contacts.
2. Information you choose to share
Exporting and sharing contacts
When you export contacts or share your QR card, the app creates a file (vCard, CSV or JSON) on your device and opens your phone's share sheet. Where that file goes — WhatsApp, email, Google Drive, Files or anywhere else — is entirely your choice, and is handled by the app or service you pick under its own privacy policy. Contacto+ never sends it anywhere by itself.
Importing contacts
When you import a file, the app reads only the file you select and adds its contacts to your phone. The file is not uploaded.
Feedback
If you send feedback from Settings, we receive the message you write, your device platform (iOS or Android) and the app version. It is sent over an encrypted connection to our feedback service and is used only to read and respond to your feedback and improve the app. Please don't include contact details of other people in feedback.
3. Information processed by service providers
A few things need the internet. They never involve your contacts:

These providers process information under their own privacy policies: Apple, Google, RevenueCat and Expo.
4. What we don't do
- We don't upload, store or back up your contacts on any server.
- We don't require an account, email address or phone number.
- We don't show ads or use advertising identifiers.
- We don't use analytics or tracking tools, and we don't track you across apps or websites.
- We don't sell or rent any information to anyone.
5. Permissions

You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in your phone's Settings.
6. Data security
Because your contacts and Contacto+ data stay on your device, they are protected by your phone's own security — your passcode, Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint, and device encryption. Information sent to the services above is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
7. Children's privacy
Contacto+ is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Since your contacts and app data live only on your device, you control them directly: edit or delete them in the app, or delete the app to remove everything Contacto+ stored. To ask about feedback you've sent us, or anything held by our service providers, contact us using the details below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app or on this website.
